Rooftop is a single that tells the story of heartbreak and waiting for someone who turns out not to be waiting for you as well. Serafesya wants to encapsulate the anger, frustration, and sadness felt in such situations and share it with others who might be in similar situations.
"I want to express my sadness through music, and I usually go to the piano and play a song. When there is no song to fully express what I feel, then I write my own song. All my songs are born from a surge of emotions, and that’s what makes them special to me," she stated in a recent written statement.
Not playing around when it comes to the music world. Serafesya, who has been singing since the age of 2, has a lot of achievements. She has won the Gold Award at the Asia Pacific Arts Festival (APAF) Penang 2022 and 1st Place at the Rhapsodie Singing Competition 2024 in Jakarta.
It's no wonder she plans to continue creating until she can release an album someday. "My future plan for my music career is to release a single and several other singles, and maybe even an album one day," said Serafesya.
"I also want to have a distinctive style as a singer and have a platform to explore more creative ideas. I want to keep growing and improving my skills in music," she added.
Serafesya also hopes that her music can provide inspiration. "I want my music to make people feel better and stronger in facing their problems," concluded Serafesya.
With the single Rooftop, Serafesya is ready to showcase her more mature and emotional musical abilities. She hopes that this single can be a good start for a more successful music career in the future.
