The Virgin's Dara Reveals Being a Sandwich Generation and Her Wealth Sold Off by Family, Now Starting From Scratch Again

The vocalist of the band The Virgin, Dara Rizki Ruhiana, shared her shocking life story. She revealed that since the age of 16, she has been part of the sandwich generation, bearing the financial burden of her family at a young age.

As reported by brilio.net, Dara's bitter experience began when her parents separated and each started new families. In this situation, her younger sibling was already married, leaving Dara feeling isolated and struggling alone.

Although she has accepted her family's situation with sincerity, Dara admitted to being very disappointed with her family's actions. "Because since I was (age) 16, you know, sister Rosie, mom already had another family, dad too, and my younger sibling is already married, it’s just that what I can't understand is, I am sincere, you know, for my family I am very sincere but it’s just from my own family like that," she expressed.

Dara's disappointment deepened when she found out that the assets she had accumulated since the age of 16 had been sold without her knowledge. This happened around 2017 when she planned to sell her rice fields. "It turns out everything has already been sold," she said.

Dara felt devastated when all her hard work over the years vanished just like that. "So everything I had collected since I was 16 years old is gone, all gone. Shocked. I have to start from scratch again," she said, implying feelings of anger and loss.

Although feeling heartbroken, Dara tried to remain sincere in facing the situation. She realized that feelings of heartbreak are hard to avoid, but she tried to be accepting. "Actually, it hurts, I’m sincere, but you know, as a human, no matter how sincere you are, it still hurts," she said.

Dara's sincere attitude brings positive impacts in her life. After accepting her situation, she feels that the doors of fortune begin to open. "When I have let go, all the doors of fortune open up. There is always a blessing, sis," she said, showing optimism.

Dara is now focused on her own struggles. She realizes she can no longer depend on her parents. "So I was wasting my time, I kept getting hurt, crying all the time. I let go, and all the doors of fortune opened up like that," she added, emphasizing her determination to keep moving forward.
