Meriam Bellina, a senior Indonesian actress, recently shared her experience of admonishing an artist who did not respect time. In a television event, she expressed that she has no hesitation in giving a reprimand to her colleagues. Check out the complete story below!
Meriam explained that the attitude of respecting time is an important principle for her. She feels uncomfortable when others have to wait for her arrival and prefers to arrive early rather than make others wait.
"Our money can be replaced, but our time cannot be replaced. When you make someone wait, you are wasting their life," explained Meriam Bellina in Obrolan Tiap Waktu which was viewed on the TRANS7 OFFICIAL Youtube channel today, Monday (14/4).
Although her intentions are good, Meriam acknowledges that there are artists who actually feel annoyed when reprimanded.
"There have been several times I reprimanded, but they just became more stubborn. That includes attitude. I feel sorry for them because they didn't get education from their parents. That child needs guidance as they grow up," said the star of the movie Catatan Si Boy.
After reprimanding a soap opera artist whom she considered unprofessional, Meriam actually apologized to maintain a conducive working atmosphere.
"I have already reprimanded him, and the next day I was the one who apologized. The show must go on, we need to create a pleasant atmosphere so that we can work together comfortably. It's okay, right? There are many people around us that we need to save, not just one person," he explained.
Meriam Bellina, who was born on April 10, 1965, started her career in the Indonesian entertainment world in 1981. She has been in the entertainment industry for decades and is still active to this day.
