Trip to Japan Postponed Due to Corona Virus, Uya Kuya Loses Tens of Millions of Rupiah

Recently, the television program hosted by Uya Kuya has started running without an audience in the studio. All of these steps are taken to prevent the spread of the corona virus from one person to another.

"We were the first to start without an audience. We started first and hopefully other TV shows and programs will follow. Now the cases are mostly in Jakarta. So that it doesn't spread widely in Jakarta and to other islands. That's what we need to think about," said Uya when met in the area of Jalan Kapten Tendean, Mampang, South Jakarta, Monday (16/3).

1. Trip to Japan Postponed, Loss of Rp 40 Million

Uya does not deny that he and his family are now minimizing contact and communication with others if it is not too urgent. The father of two children has even recently suffered a loss of tens of millions of rupiah because his trip to Japan had to be canceled.

"Oh yeah. I just canceled my trip to Japan. The (flight) ticket is not refundable but can be rescheduled. The hotel ticket is void, (loss of) more than 40 million. The flight cannot be changed but postponed," he continued.

2. Not Wanting to Bring the Virus to Indonesia

Uya realizes that traveling abroad at this time is a big risk. He doesn't want to bring the coronavirus back to Indonesia.

"Well, it's okay. Sometimes we think it's okay for us to be there. But we are afraid that when we come back to Indonesia as carriers, it's dangerous. So it's better to avoid," Astrid concluded.
