Sad news envelops the family of Ferry Maryadi. His mother passed away on August 14 at Pertamina Central Hospital. This is undoubtedly a heavy blow for him and his family.

Before taking her last breath, Ferry Maryadi's mother had been treated intensively in the ICU due to her deteriorating condition. Eventually, she breathed her last at the age of 79.

Deswita Maharani, the wife of Ferry Maryadi, explained that her mother-in-law had been in critical condition for three days.

"It has been 3 days and 2 nights in critical condition, indeed mom has not been conscious. Medically, she is in critical condition with minimal response," Deswita explained after the burial process at Jeruk Purut Cemetery, South Jakarta, Thursday (15/8/2024).

Ferry Maryadi fulfilled his duty as a son by accompanying his mother's body to its final resting place. After being laid to rest at the funeral home, his mother's body was buried at TPU Jeruk Purut, South Jakarta.

"I may seem strong. As the youngest child, losing my mom has definitely shattered me, broken my heart. But I just have to stay strong," said Ferry Maryadi.

"I have always been entrusted by my friends who understand their religion, as imams we should at least not appear fragile and weak even if our hearts are shattered," continued Ferry Maryadi.

"If we appear weak and fragile, how will our children and wife feel? Even if we look strong and sincere, we still cry and feel the loss," he concluded.
