Two Months Before Giving Birth, Tengku Dewi Putri Will File for Divorce from Andrew Andika

Kapanlagi.com - Tengku Dewi Putri has finally decided to end her marriage with actor Andrew Andika. This is due to allegations of infidelity by her husband.

"After a lengthy consideration process, Tengku Dewi has expressed her desire to end her marriage with Andrew," said Minola Sebayang, Tengku Dewi Putri's legal representative in the Kuningan area, South Jakarta, on Friday (24/5/2024).

1. Andrew Has Had Bad Behavior Since the Beginning of the Marriage

To Minola, Tengku Dewi Putri revealed that Andrew Andika's infidelity was not a one-time occurrence. Most recently, Tengku Dewi Putri revealed allegations of her husband's infidelity with soap opera actress Soraya Rasyid on her social media.

"It's more about Andrew's behavior from the beginning of the marriage. They have been married for about 11 years, and from the early years of the marriage, Andrew has had bad habits and has never changed," said Minola Sebayang.

2. Divorce Lawsuit Being Prepared

With Tengku Dewi Putri's firm decision to divorce, Minola is currently preparing a divorce lawsuit against Andrew Andika. The lawsuit will be registered next week at the Cibinong Religious Court, West Java.

"Starting today, we will go through the process of preparing Tengku Dewi's divorce lawsuit against Andrew. Next week, we might be able to register the lawsuit," said Minola Sebayang.

3. Considered Already

Although Tengku Dewi Putri is 7 months pregnant, Minola stated that it is not a problem if her client wants to file for divorce. It is also not prohibited in Islam, which allows separation.

"We have also considered that option, whether a pregnant woman can file for divorce. That's why we have studied that it is permissible in terms of fiqh and formal law for a wife to file for divorce from her husband if the situation is extraordinary and the wife feels oppressed and deprived of her rights as a wife," he explained.

"The current situation is like that, so even in terms of fiqh and formal law, it is permissible for a wife to file for divorce from her husband. There may be some conditions that need to be fulfilled," Minola added.

4. Condition of Pregnancy is Fine

Although their marriage is in trouble, Minola ensures that Tengku Dewi Putri's pregnancy is in good condition. In the next two months, Tengku Dewi Putri will give birth to her second child.

"Until now, her pregnancy is fine. Yesterday, she also said that she will give birth in two months," she concluded.
