Two Years Without Meeting, Director Anggy Umbara Admits Not Being Close to Fajar Umbara Since Childhood

Kapanlagi.com - Screenwriter Fajar Umbara is detained for the violence committed against his stepchild from his marriage with Yuyun Sukawati. As the youngest sibling of Fajar, director Anggy Umbara sees that whatever happens is surely for the best.

"If I look at it, whatever Allah gives is surely the best. We only see the good side," said Anggy when met at MD Place, Setiabudi, South Jakarta, Friday (16/4/2021).

Furthermore, Anggy Umbara said that he hasn't seen Fajar for two years. Therefore, he doesn't want to comment much about his brother's detention because it tortures his wife and children from their second marriage.

"Fajar and I haven't met for two years, we've been busy with our own lives. So, I really don't know about his situation and I can't comment. Whatever comment I make now feels irrelevant," he explained.

2. Not Close Since Childhood

Anggy Umbara admitted that he was not very close to Fajar Umbara since childhood. This seems to have continued into their adulthood and separate lives.

"Since I was little, I was close to Bounty, while Fajar was at the pesantren (Islamic boarding school). So, I don't know what his personality is like. I also don't want to pretend to know," said the director of the COMIC 8 trilogy.
