Umrah, Ruben Onsu and Ivan Gunawan Agree Not to Share a Room - Afraid of Too Much Joking

This pair of friends intentionally decided not to sleep in the same room while they were there. They wanted to fully focus on worship without being disturbed by the playful banter they often engage in daily.

"We don’t play around waiting to worship. So later, if we meet, we’ll worship together. And indeed, we don’t want to share a room," said Ivan Gunawan.

The man with the full name Ivan Gunawan Putra shared that the plan for this trip came up suddenly. The idea for this religious journey just popped up while they were enjoying breakfast together.

"What happened today started from our breakfast conversation. Randomly talking about going for Umrah. So when, then the timing was arranged with Ruben. Finally, we left with Hamdan Tour," he said.

For the father of the three children, this moment marks the fourth Umrah journey he has undertaken in his life. Ivan Gunawan, who is now 44 years old, even expressed admiration upon seeing Ruben Onsu's rapidly increasing spiritual enthusiasm.

"If you look at it, Ruben's worship is far better than ours. He is on fire with his worship. This time we are both recharging our batteries, so that our faith increases and we remain steadfast," he said.

Hasby Atthallah, the owner of Hamdan Tour, reminded of the challenge of extreme hot weather in Saudi Arabia, reaching 49 degrees Celsius.
