Undergo First Trial from Nusakambangan, Ammar Zoni Asserts 'Uncomfortable'

Actor Ammar Zoni finally underwent his first trial for the fourth drug case that ensnared him on Thursday (23/10/2025) at the Central Jakarta District Court. Unlike usual, this trial was conducted online, with Ammar connecting directly from the Maximum Super Prison in Nusakambangan.

Just before the trial started, he had a brief conversation with his lawyer, Jon Matias, who was physically present in the courtroom.

In the conversation, Ammar's current condition on the "prison island" was revealed. When asked by his lawyer if he felt comfortable, Ammar firmly gave a short answer that implied his discomfort."Oh no, not at all," he said in the courtroom of the Central Jakarta District Court on Thursday (23/10/2025).

Nevertheless, he ensured that his basic needs such as food and clothing were well met by the prison authorities."The food is good, it's fine here... They provided underwear," he added.

In the midst of the conversation, Jon Matias tried to encourage his client. He urged Ammar not to feel afraid or intimidated and to provide the most honest testimony in front of the judge."Don't be afraid, don't feel intimidated, just give the correct testimony," Jon advised Ammar.

As is known, Ammar Zoni was transferred to Nusakambangan after being suspected of involvement in a drug trafficking network within the Salemba detention center. His status as a high-risk inmate makes his legal process more complicated now.

Realizing this, at the end of the conversation, Ammar entrusted an important request to his lawyer. He hopes that future hearings can be held face-to-face or offline, rather than online."Next, I just want it offline, uncle," Ammar requested.
