"Most men who fall in love with transgender women are normal men, men who like women," says designer Oscar Septianus Lawalata.

Normal men like the feminine side of transgender individuals. Love then slowly grows.

"Because what they buy is that sense of femininity, love grows in how special that love is there. They no longer see genetics but they feel what grows, like a persona," he continued.
