Uya Kuya Reveals His Father's Inherited Land Is Controlled by Developers, Confused Even Though He Has the Certificate

Kapanlagi.com - Uya Kuya, a newly elected member of the Indonesian House of Representatives for the 2025-2029 period, is currently fighting to defend his father Nararya Sutrasno's inherited land. The land, located in Bedahan Village, Sawangan, Depok, West Java, is suspected to have been seized by property developers involved with land mafia.

This issue arose after Uya Kuya discovered that the inherited land that should rightfully belong to him is actually controlled by the developers. In his statement, Uya revealed that he will take legal action to resolve this issue and has prepared a competent legal team to fight against the land grabbers.

1. Admitting Confusion Regarding Land Dispute

When met at the South Jakarta Metro Police, Thursday (20/2/2025), Uya expressed his concern over the case involving the developer and allegedly involving land mafia.

"Oh, my late father's land in the Pagedangan Sawangan area? That land already has a certificate of ownership and so on, suddenly it was taken over by one of the developers, I forgot the name," said Uya.

2. Role of the National Land Agency (BPN)

He admitted being confused about how a valid land certificate could be ignored, while another party claims ownership. According to him, this incident shows the weakness of protection for property rights in this country. Uya explained that this inherited land should belong to the heirs, but there was a dual issuance of land certificates by the National Land Agency (BPN).

"And funny enough, they can sue BPN and so on. So basically, I’m confused why in this country, we have a certificate but it can be controlled by others and double-issued," he added.

3. Once Felt Disappointed, Wants to Investigate Thoroughly

Uya revealed that this issue involves the issuance of dual land certificates by the BPN. Although feeling disappointed, Uya is committed to thoroughly investigating this case. He believes there are certain individuals involved who exploit legal loopholes for personal gain.

"But, my promise is that I will take care of my father's land case in Pagedangan Sawangan. Because I believe there are also certain individuals involved," Uya asserted.

4. Once Managed but Faced Many Obstacles

Furthermore, Uya revealed that his father had attempted to manage the dispute before he passed away. However, that effort encountered many obstacles, highlighting how difficult it is to fight against land mafia practices.

"Yes, and at that time my father didn't tell much, so he only shared about it 3 years ago. And he had tried to handle it himself and it was difficult," he said.

To address this issue, Uya Kuya has prepared firm legal steps. He believes that with the support of a solid legal team, he can prove rightful ownership of the land.

5. Hope for Justice

"So we must dare to speak out for truth and justice," he concluded.

Uya hopes that in the future the government can take decisive action against the increasingly rampant land mafia. According to him, the community needs to be brave enough to speak out in pursuit of justice. Uya Kuya also hopes that this case can be resolved quickly and that justice can be upheld. He wants to ensure that his father's inheritance does not fall into the wrong hands and remains in the family.
