Vadel Badjideh's Family Files Cassation, Hoping for a Miracle Ahead of Ramadan

The legal process that ensnares Vadel Badjideh is still ongoing. The family has filed a cassation request against the nine-year sentence related to the case involving Vadel concerning the sexual assault of a minor. In the midst of this uncertainty, the family continues to hold out great hope for the best outcome for Vadel.

Martin revealed that currently they can only wait for the latest developments from their legal counsel. The family, especially the mother, continues to pray that this cassation process yields positive results so that Vadel can soon reunite with the family.

The family of Vadel Badjideh also began to feel heavy as they realized that the holy month of Ramadan would soon arrive.

There is a deep sadness remembering that Vadel will likely experience his first fasting during Ramadan in prison, far from the warmth of the family dining table during sahur and iftar.

"Just imagining, just imagining. It feels heavy but we really have to go through it. There must be sincerity in it. Because in difficulties, there is ease, right? That's what we hold on to," said Bintang.

Nevertheless, the support from Vadel's siblings has never faded. Martin and Bintang always provide motivation for Vadel to stay enthusiastic about practicing dance.

They also remind him to exercise while in detention to keep his mental health in check. They want Vadel to continue having dreams even though his movement is currently limited.

"His story is that he misses dancing and Bintang. He misses practicing, misses creating. There are still many dreams he has yet to achieve," concluded Martin.
