Vincent Verhaag Firmly Becomes an Indonesian Citizen, Has Always Claimed to be Indonesian

Vincent Verhaag can now proudly show his blue ID card. This husband of Jessica Iskandar has officially become an Indonesian Citizen (WNI), a status he has long desired in his heart, long before it was officially recognized in data.

For Vincent, being Indonesian is not a new thing. He admits he has felt part of this country for a long time, even though his passport still shows foreign citizenship.

"Honestly, Vincent has always stated that when people ask, where are you from? I always say from Indonesia. But in terms of data, it was not valid because I still held a foreign passport," Vincent revealed during an interview in Tendean, South Jakarta, Tuesday (9/9/2025).

He even admitted that he no longer has strong family ties in his home country, the Netherlands.

"So in the Netherlands, there really is no one left. And my father has been in Indonesia since 1988, so he is really part of the NKRI (Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia)," he explained.
