Virgoun Cancels Clarification Regarding Inara's Report, Postponed to Next Week

The dispute between Virgoun and Inara Rusli has not yet reached a resolution and is now involving the National Commission for Child Protection (Komnas Anak). Virgoun, who was scheduled to attend to provide clarification regarding Inara Rusli's report, was noted to have missed the summons.

In fact, the Komnas Anak had prepared a meeting agenda to hear from the father of three children in order to follow up on the complaint that was submitted. The Chairman of Komnas Anak, Agustinus Sirait, stated that Virgoun's side had confirmed the sudden cancellation of his attendance.

"Based on the information we previously received, Mr. Vi planned to respond to our summons. Regarding today, we requested clarification on the report made by Mrs. IR (Inara Rusli) earlier. Initially, we welcomed it, and it was responded to quickly by Mr. V (Virgoun). Mr. V canceled today's meeting and it has been postponed until next week," said Agustinus Sirait at his office in the Pasar Rebo area, East Jakarta, Tuesday (3/2/2026).

Regarding the reason for the musician's absence, Agustinus admitted that he has not received a detailed explanation from the relevant parties. The Child Protection Commission chooses to respect the decision to postpone, but still notes that this process should not be allowed to drag on.

"The reason has not been mentioned, but for his readiness, it is likely to be postponed until next week. Of course, we at the Child Protection Commission also respect it if he cannot attend our agenda today for clarification for the time being," he said.

Agustinus emphasized that the quick response from all parties is greatly appreciated by the Child Protection Commission. This is because every report received regarding child protection will be followed up with a clarification summons the next day.

"Of course, we hope that the Child Protection Commission (Komnas Anak), if there are changes, can act more quickly; we will certainly appreciate that. Because we don't want this to drag on, as it will ultimately affect the child's mental health," he said.

The next step, the Child Protection Commission will follow the standard operating procedures (SOP) in handling community complaints. If in the next schedule the reported party is absent again, a second summons letter will be sent immediately.

"In our SOP, we usually send a first summons letter, a second summons, and so on. We will then monitor the developments moving forward. Of course, as I informed you earlier, we are still striving for mediation as a means to resolve the ongoing conflict," he said.

"Once again, the National Commission for Child Protection stands on the best interests of the child. It's sad for those children if, for example, their access is closed and they don't get to meet their mother. Once again, children have the same right to receive love from both their father and mother. That's possible," he concluded.
