Wanting to Have Children, Luna Maya Freezes Egg Cells to Be Prepared Before the Rain Comes

For that reason, Luna Maya has decided to freeze her eggs. This is her step to have children when she gets married later on.

"It's been a long time. I've wanted to do it for the past five years," Luna Maya said when met during the gala premiere of the film Ben & Jody at XXI Plaza Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday (18/1) night.

Luna Maya is well aware that at her age, it is very vulnerable for a woman to get pregnant. That's why she decided to freeze her eggs.

"Actually, it's more for health reasons," she said.

However, before carrying out her intention, Luna Maya has been searching for a good place for egg freezing for the past five years.

"In Malaysia, it's possible. But in 2019, I was busy with work. In 2020, I was also busy and there was a pandemic, so it didn't happen. Then I searched in Jakarta and it turns out it has been available for a long time. So, I did the egg freezing in Jakarta," Luna said.

3. Not for Style

Luna Maya Sugeng, the woman with the full name, doesn't want to be considered as doing egg freezing just for style or fashion.

"It's just normal. Like an umbrella before the rain. It's a preparatory action," said Luna Maya when met during the gala premiere of the film Ben & Jody at XXI Plaza Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday (18/1) night.

4. Afraid of Problems

In addition, Luna Maya also admitted that she has fears about problems in her intimate area. That's why egg cell freezing is also done for health reasons.

"We all know that God created women with their nature. There is menstruation, because we produce until when our time comes for menopause," she concluded.
