Greta Irene, Laura Anna's Sister, Satisfied with Gaga Muhammad's 4.5-Year Prison Sentence

Kapanlagi.com - The defendant Gaung Sabda Alam Muhammad, better known as Gaga Muhammad, has been sentenced to four years and six months in prison by the panel of judges of the East Jakarta District Court for a traffic accident case.

In response to the verdict, Laura Anna's sister, Greta Irene, expressed her gratitude to the panel of judges of the East Jakarta District Court for giving a punishment to Gaga Muhammad.

"Well, I can only say thank you to the judge for providing justice for Laura," said Greta Irene at the East Jakarta District Court on Wednesday (19/1/2022).

Greta Irene stated that she is satisfied with the verdict given to Gaga. "It's enough with what the judge has given, he understands the most, he knows, if he thinks it's enough, then it's enough," she said.

1. Unable to Bring Back the Younger Sibling

Previously, Greta Irene was reported to be dissatisfied with the demands of the Public Prosecutor who demanded a four-year and six-month prison sentence for Gaga Muhammad.

According to Greta Irene, her dissatisfaction with the prosecutor's demands at that time was because no matter how severe Gaga's punishment was, it would not be enough. That's because it would not bring back her beloved younger sibling, Laura Anna.

"Insufficient, that's what I mean. No matter how long the punishment is, it won't be enough. It won't bring Laura back," she said.

Therefore, Greta Irene stated that she was satisfied with the judge's verdict from the East Jakarta District Court.

"That's why I said, if the judge says it's enough, I will obey. But if you ask if it's enough to replace all of Laura's suffering, nothing can replace it," she said.

Greta Irene is one of the people who eagerly awaited the verdict of the trial of Gaga Muhammad. Greta admitted that she was nervous before the trial of Gaga at the East Jakarta District Court, hearing the verdict.

"I was nervous, but I had to rest. Rest is enough, it's nice," said Greta Irene.

Gaga Muhammad was sentenced to four years and six months in prison for a traffic accident case. The 21-year-old celebrity was found guilty of negligence in driving a motor vehicle.

"The defendant is proven legally and convincingly to have driven a motor vehicle negligently, causing serious injuries to the victim. Sentenced to 4 years and 6 months in prison, a fine of Rp 10 million, and if not paid, will be replaced by 2 months of imprisonment," said the panel of judges at the East Jakarta District Court.

Gaga Muhammad's lawyer, Fahmi Bachmid, stated that Gaga Muhammad still has the possibility to file an appeal against the verdict that has been given.

"If you have heard the verdict yourself, where the panel of judges decided on 4.5 years, I told Gaga to think about it. We have seven days to make a decision, whether to appeal or not," said Fahmi.

"But it is highly likely that we will file an appeal, but we are still considering the seven-day period since this verdict, no later than seven days after it is decided. Whether to appeal or not, we will decide in seven days, but it is highly likely that we will appeal," he added.
