Kapanlagi.com - Kapapanlagi.com - The StandupIndo Jamboree is set to take place at Magunan Pines Forest, Bantul, Yogyakarta from September 6 to 8, 2024. This year, the StandupIndo Jamboree will feature hundreds of performers including comedians, hosts, and others. The vice president of StandupIndo, Erwin Wu, explained that this year's lineup selection is more focused on the quality and consistency of the comedians.

"The curation is done by about five core members of the StandupIndo team, we discuss together. Of course, we look at those who are still active, diligent in writing, and participating in open mics," said Erwin Wu at a press conference at the Comika office, South Jakarta, on Friday (30/8/2024).

"We need new names in addition to the big names, so we look at the open mic performances and discuss which ones are good for the jamboree, especially for new comedians. Those who have not yet made it big should at least have something to aim for in the following year," continued Erwin Wu.

One of the senior comedians who will perform at the StandupIndo Jamboree 2024, Abdel Achrian, expressed pride in being involved in one of the major events of the StandupIndo community.

"This is a fun way, there is pride, like Standup Fest, jamboree, there is pride in being involved in the world of stand-up comedy," said Abdel Achrian.

1. Because It's Not Nice

The comedian commonly known as Cing Abdel expressed his desire to perform at the StandupIndo Jamboree 2024. Therefore, he asked Adjis Doaibu, as the President of StandupIndo, to be included as one of the performers at the event.

"The first thing I always ask Adjis is, 'Can I still join?' coincidentally Adjis feels bad because I might be older, 'Okay, go ahead Cing, go ahead Cing'. When I message Adjis on WhatsApp, if it's a yes, he replies with go ahead Cing. And that's it," he explained.

2. Yono Bakri Also Present

Meanwhile, Yono Bakrie, one of the comedians also involved in the StandupIndo Jamboree 2024, expressed his happiness to be able to perform at the event.

"For sure, which comedian wouldn't be happy to perform at a regular event? This is my first time performing at night, and the pressure is to provide new material to keep it fresh. But so far, I'm excited," said Yono Bakrie.

Tickets for the StandupIndo Jamboree 2024, which were sold for 1,400 spectators, have sold out. For the 300 spectators who purchased camping tickets, they will have the opportunity to participate in a meet and greet on the third day. The success of this event is supported by Imajinari and Nivea Men as the main sponsors.
