Wife Denies Running Away from Home and Preventing Ronal Surapradja from Meeting Their Child, Here's the Clarification

Kapanlagi.com - Comedian Ronal Surapradja has filed for divorce from Seruni Purnamasari at the South Jakarta Religious Court. This is quite surprising to the public considering that during their thirteen-year marriage, their lives were far from scandalous.

According to Seruni's legal counsel, the couple's household has not been harmonious since 2012. The problem then resurfaced in December of last year.

"Referring to the lawsuit, they have not been in harmony since 2012, and then the problem resurfaced in December. It's uncomfortable," said Abdul Hamim Jauzie after the trial on Thursday (21/4/2022).

When news of Ronal Surapradja's divorce petition became public, many negative assumptions were directed towards Seruni Purnamasari.

1. Leaving Home After Being Sued

One of the assumptions is about the decision to leave home with her children.

"Mbak Runi left home after being sued. Before the lawsuit, they still lived in the same house. So, it's not from the beginning that she left home. It was already uncomfortable, and it was better to separate (houses) when the lawsuit happened," explained Abdul Hamim Jauzie.

2. Children Don't Want to Meet

Seruni Purnamasari's side also denied the assumption that they prevented Ronal Surapradja from meeting his children. In fact, it was the children who didn't want to meet.

"The children don't want to meet," Seruni said firmly at the same occasion.

"This first child is old enough to understand. I have repeatedly said that he should not be restricted from meeting because it is his father's right. But if the child doesn't want to, it can't be forced. It's wrong to force it if the child is unwilling," explained Abdul Jamim Jauzie.

3. Ronal Surapradja Moves Quickly

Ronal Surapradja filed for divorce from Seruni Purnamasari after 13 years of marriage. Many speculations emerged about what caused Seruni to be divorced. But it turns out that it was initially Seruni who wanted to divorce.

"This hearing was filed earlier by Mr. Ronal, even though his wife wanted to file it. This needs to be conveyed because his wife's perception is why she was divorced. The perception that develops like that," said Abdul Hamim Jauzie.
