In the trial, Depp made several statements, including the allegation that he had committed violence against Amber Heard.

"I have never attacked Ms. Heard in any way, nor have I ever hit any woman in my life," Depp said as quoted by CNN Indonesia.

Depp claimed that he only wanted the truth to be revealed. He did not want his name to be tarnished with accusations that he had never committed.

3. Lawsuit Filed Since 2019

The defamation lawsuit filed by Johnny Depp in 2019 is worth $50 million. The lawsuit then began rolling on the green table on April 11, 2022.

Both Johnny Depp and Amber Heard insist that their clients are victims. Depp's lawyer accuses Amber of wanting to defame the actor. While Amber's lawyer revealed that Depp had committed sexual violence during their marriage.

Amber Heard herself is scheduled to testify in court on Wednesday (4/20) US time.
