Kapanlagi.com - Eid moments have become a tradition for Indonesian people to go back to their hometown. So does Arzetti Bilbina. She admitted that she often does this tradition almost every year.

"Usually every year I always go back. If not to Jogja, to Lampung, if not to Padang," said Arzetti Bilbina when met at the DPR building, Wednesday (19/4/2022).

1. No Homecoming

However, for this year's Eid al-Fitr, she and her family are unlikely to perform the homecoming tradition. This is because her father-in-law, retired Lieutenant General Bachrul Ulum, passed away on January 30.

"I don't think I'll be going home this year because my father just passed away and was buried in Kalibata. I think we'll celebrate Eid al-Fitr in Kalibata first," she said.

2. Not Homecoming is Okay

Her three children, according to Arzetti, don't mind if they don't perform the homecoming tradition this year. It doesn't diminish their enthusiasm for celebrating the Day of Victory.

"God willing, the children are always enthusiastic. Hopefully, God always gives strength because everything comes from God," she said.

3. Gratefulness

Furthermore, even though she celebrates Eid al-Fitr without her father-in-law, she still appreciates the meaning of the holiday by continuing to express gratitude. That's why this mother of three isn't sad even though she can't perform the homecoming tradition.

"The meaning we should feel is gratitude to God because, thank God, we are still given health," she said.
