Dewa 19 Featuring Two Vocalists on the 30-City Tour, Ahmad Dhani: Virzha Specializes in Once and Ello Specializes in Ari Lasso

Kapanlagi.com - To mark their 30-year professional career in the Indonesian music industry, the music group Dewa 19 will hold a tour in several locations in Indonesia. It should be noted that this is not the first time Dewa 19 has held a tour in several cities in Indonesia after deciding to take a hiatus in 2011.

Previously, the band consisting of Dhani, Andra, Yuke, and Agung successfully held the 'Bintang Lima' tour in early 2019.

1. 30-City Tour

Now, Dewa 19 is back with their 30-city tour in Indonesia. At least five of those cities have been confirmed to be visited by Dewa 19, namely Surabaya (May 27, 2022), Medan (June 11, 2022), Palembang (June 18, 2022), Samarinda (June 25, 2022), and Makassar (July 6, 2022).

"Previously, we were successful with the Bintang Lima concert tour. But because of the pandemic, the concert only took place in three cities. It was different back then, with only one vocalist, Once. And now we have two singers. Virzha specializes in Once's songs and Ello specializes in Ari Lasso's songs," said Ahmad Dhani at the Aston Hotel, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (19/4/2022).

Ahmad Dhani explained that Dewa 19's 30th anniversary tour is clearly different from previous tours. If the 'Bintang Lima' tour was specifically with Once, for this tour Dewa 19 brings two featuring vocalists at once, namely Virzha and Marcello Tahitoe.

"The difference is that there will probably be many Ello fans watching and many Virzha fans too. Last year, I saw many fathers who brought their children to watch," said Ahmad Dhani.

3. Performing 30 Songs

In the tour, Dewa 19 will perform approximately 30 songs on stage. The two featuring vocalists of Dewa 19, Virzha and Ello, revealed that they will make various preparations before the tour.

"Memorizing the songs because there are many Dewa songs that need to be memorized, not just memorized but also understood. And of course, there will be rehearsals to prepare for the stage. There will be schedules for concert rehearsals, continuous rehearsals," said Virzha.

"As for preparations, the materials that need to be brought. Secondly, physical fitness because we will be walking a long way, we need to be healthy and exercise. The most important thing is that we are happy. I want us to be happy all the time," continued Ello.

4. Playing New Songs

Of the 30 songs that Dewa 19 will perform, Ahmad Dhani also confirmed that they will perform their new song titled Juliette on their tour.

"We released the song Juliette with Ello. It's already on Spotify, and it seems like it will be played at the concert," Ahmad Dhani concluded.
