Withdrawing Due to the Pandemic, Cassandra Lee's Acting was Initially Questioned by Directors

Kapanlagi.com - In the past year, the presence of Cassandra Lee in the world of acting seemed rare. However, now her acting performance can be seen again in a family drama titled FATHER & SON.

When asked why she seemed to withdraw, the young woman affectionately known as Cassie admitted she was afraid of the virus. Moreover, the pandemic situation has made everyone more cautious.

"Because of the pandemic, I'm also afraid to take on soap operas. Especially now that it's the third wave, the omicron variant spreads easily," said Cassie during a virtual conference last Friday.

Previously, this woman, born in Jakarta 20 years ago, had starred in several soap operas and TV movies. Her name first became known through the soap opera HANYA KAMU in 2012.

1. Because of Bio One

In the movie FATHER & SON directed by Danial Rifki, Cassandra Lee plays a character named Bella. What makes her interested in being involved in this production, besides the story, is because her co-stars are Bio One and Dwi Sasono.

"When I first read the synopsis, I was nervous because it involved mental health. But in the end, I wanted to take the role because of that issue and because of Om Dwi and Bio One," said Cassie.

2. Doubting Cassandra Lee

During the reading process before shooting, Cassandra Lee only did it online. This made Danial Rifki, as the director, a little nervous considering that the chemistry between Cassie and Bio One had to look real.

"What made me a little nervous here is the romantic scenes. Because Cassie did the reading online at that time, I wondered if she could connect deeply with Bio. Once we were on the shooting location, she said she felt like she had experienced heartbreak from her character. Since then, I never doubted Cassie again. She understands how to portray the scenes," explained Danial.

3. Arwah Ayah

FATHER & SON starts airing on February 18, 2022 on the streaming service Klik Film. This family drama is adapted from the novel titled "Mengaku Bapak" by Paizin Palma.

The film itself tells the story of Iman (played by Bio One), a teenager who becomes a victim of bullying at his school. After his father's death, the man appears in the form of a ghost trying to help his son face the bullies.
