Worried About Crowds, Angel Lelga Prohibited from Attending Cycling Event

Various events are starting to limit their participants. Closed spaces are also not allowed to be fully occupied. This is what various event organizers are trying to maintain, including the Rudy Project Charity Ride.

The event, organized by model and presenter Steffy Burase in collaboration with the Senayan Cyclist community, was supposed to be attended by Angel Lelga, as stated in the event poster that has been circulating for a long time.

1. Cancel Attendance

However, during the event, it turned out that Angel Lelga couldn't attend. According to Steffy, Angel's presence was canceled to avoid overcrowding of participants.

"If Angel Lelga is present, it will disrupt the Covid procedures that we have implemented," said Steffy, met in the Antasari area, South Jakarta, on Saturday (12/12/2020).

Steffy admitted to having communicated with Angel Lelga's team. Steffy is concerned that Angel's presence will increase the number of unregistered participants.

"So we have discussed with her manager, that if Angel comes, it will trigger many people who are actually not on the guest list. We are worried that the participants will overcrowd," said Steffy.

2. Understanding

Steffy is impressed by Angel Lelga's generosity in understanding the cancellation reason. "So that's our consideration. But hopefully, Angel will join the next cycling event after this situation," she said.

With Angel Lelga's absence, the committee claimed to be able to better manage the participants' cycling while implementing health protocols to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

"We distributed the cyclists so that they wouldn't gather, and after reaching the location, they went straight home," said Julita.

3. Prevent Exposure to Covid-19
