Yasmine Ow Files for Divorce from Aditya Zoni, Claims Frequent Arguments Since 2022

Yasmine's divorce petition is registered online at the Cibinong Religious Court in West Java. The registration was made by Yasmine's legal representative on May 8, 2024.

"Based on our search in our application, the name that was asked is indeed registered at the Cibinong Religious Court. The lawsuit was filed by Yasmine as the wife. She registered online. It was registered on May 8 by her legal representative," said Dadang Karim, the spokesperson for the Cibinong Religious Court, when interviewed by the media on Tuesday (May 14, 2024).

1. Frequent Disputes Occur

Dadang Karim said the reason Yasmine Ow filed for divorce from Aditya Zoni. It turns out that the couple, who got married in 2021, have been frequently involved in disputes since 2022.

"In 2022, the marriage started to crumble due to frequent disputes and arguments," added Dadang Karim.

2. Requesting Custody of the Child

In her lawsuit, Yasmine Ow only requested custody of their only child from the marriage with Aditya Zoni. Regarding other requests, they may follow after the lawsuit is granted.

"Only custody is included in this lawsuit. Whether assets are included or discussed, it is not apparent from this lawsuit. It is very possible that she will file for it after the divorce. It is possible that the estimation is to get divorced first, and after the divorce is settled, the marital assets will be taken care of," explained Dadang Karim.

The issue of cracks in the household of Aditya Zoni and Yasmine Ow became public after Yasmine returned to Malaysia. When asked at that time, Aditya said that if indeed their household had problems, he believed they could be resolved.

"Certainly, there are arguments within a household. That's what happens in my household. I do argue with Yasmine, but it's not a separation, because if it were a separation, we would have already separated," said Aditya when met at the West Jakarta Metro Police Station on Wednesday (24/1/2024).
