YouTuber Couple Gita Savitri and Paul Partohap Release Music Video 'Seandainya' for the OST of the Film 'RENTANG KISAH'

Kapanlagi.com - The film RENTANG KISAH, an adaptation of the book of the same title by YouTuber Gita Savitri Devi, is now streaming on Disney+ Hotstar starting today, Friday (11/9). To celebrate this moment, Gita and her husband, Paul Partohap, have released a music video for their single Seandainya, which is chosen as the soundtrack of the film.

The lyrics and music of the song were created by Paul Partohap and his friend, Ronald Theednes. The creative process happened long before the book and the film existed.

"At that time, I was on summer break and my friend and I wanted to write a song. The inspiration came from the love stories of our friends and people around us. My friend and I wrote the lyrics together. As for the music, the inspiration came from Brian McKnight. At that time, I was listening to a lot of RnB songs," said Paul in a press conference via Zoom on Thursday (10/9).

1. Shooting Indie Music Video

The song Seandainya actually had a music video made three years ago. However, for the film promotion purposes, Falcon Pictures asked Gita Savitri Devi and Paul Partohap to create a new video clip with an interesting behind-the-scenes story.

"The process of making the video clip was really fast. Falcon called and needed a video clip, so we made it right after the call in the afternoon. We made it quickly because we had to leave the city for several days that week. We made it in the backyard of our house. It's a lush green place. We made it there to make it look indie, even though it's minimalist. We called our friends to help because they were still at church," Gita recalled on the same occasion.

2. Studying in Berlin

RENTANG KISAH was originally scheduled to be released in theaters during Eid this year, but due to the corona virus pandemic, the screening was shifted to streaming services. The film tells the story of Gita's (played by Beby Tsabina) struggle to pursue education in Berlin.

During the adaptation period in a foreign country, she becomes a victim of infidelity. However, her meeting with Paul (played by Bio One) changes Gita's perspective on life and beliefs.
