Zaskia Sungkar Confesses Failed Insemination, Affirms Never Undergone IVF Program

Kapanlagi.com - Irwansyah and Zaskia Sungkar are one of the celebrity couples who have not been blessed with a child until now. In their 9 years of marriage, they have finally decided to undergo an IVF program.

This was revealed directly by Zaskia Sungkar and Irwansyah as guests in the latest video podcast by Rans Entertainment on Tuesday (4/2) yesterday. Answering Raffi Ahmad's question, Shireen Sungkar's sister admitted that they are preparing for IVF in the Netherlands.

Together with Irwansyah, Zaskia also denied various false rumors that had circulated before. Despite being rumored to have failed multiple times, they admitted that they have never undergone an IVF program at all.

Contrary to what has been widely reported, Irwansyah and Zaskia Sungkar admitted that they have only failed to undergo insemination once in Jakarta. According to Zaskia, insemination is the initial stage before test tube babies, where the reproductive process is done by assisting the movement of sperm to the egg cells in the uterus.

"For me, the failure is more about the destiny of Allah. But according to the doctor, 'You should not go out, you should not do any activities,'" said Zaskia, who also admitted to being busy with filming and often going up and down the stairs.

Unfortunately, the insemination that was only done once eventually failed because Zaskia did not follow the doctor's recommendation to have bed rest. That is why now they intend to seriously undergo the test tube baby program, which is planned to be done in the Netherlands.

"Actually, in Indonesia, IVF (in vitro fertilization) is also very good. The success rate is quite high. They even ranked first in ASEAN," said Irwansyah.

However, it turns out that Zaskia admitted that IVF programs in Europe are cheaper than in Indonesia. Irwansyah explained, "Not cheaper. Why do we say it's cheaper? 5000 euros but you can do it up to 5 times. You can try again, try again."
