Hamdan ATT has not appeared on television for quite some time. He was previously a vocal coach on the show D'Academy Indosiar.
According to Tantowi Yahya, Hamdan is suffering from a stroke. "Accompanied by Ikke Nurjanah visiting the residence of Mr. Hamdan ATT, a famous Dangdut singer who is currently ill," he wrote on his personal Instagram.
"Because of the stroke he suffered since 2017, the singer famous for the hit song 'Termiskin Di Dunia' is now living on a wheelchair," he continued.
On that occasion, Ikke Nurjanah also sang a song in front of Hamdan. Hamdan seemed entertained and raised his thumb several times.
Tantowi Yahya hopes that Hamdan can recover and be able to create again. Netizens also join in praying for Hamdan in the comment section.
Since 2017, Hamdan has been suffering from stroke. His condition worsened when he experienced a ruptured blood vessel in 2022. It has become increasingly difficult for him to carry out daily activities.
Although he is no longer young, it can be seen from his Instagram that Hamdan is apparently very close to young singers ranging from Ega Noviantika to Reza Zakarya.
They even greet Hamdan ATT affectionately as 'Father'. In 2021, he received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Indonesian Dangdut Awards.
