Being a parent is certainly not an easy task for Danang DA and Hemas Nura. When met in the Jagakarsa area, South Jakarta, on Sunday (18/5/2025), Danang admitted that the question about readiness to become a parent is very heavy and full of responsibility.

“Preparing to be a parent is a tough question, whether ready or not, it has to be heavy. Allah gives us blessings according to our prayers, granting us children who are healthy in body and soul, lacking nothing, who can make us happy and help us become responsible people,” Danang said, his voice trembling to the point of shedding tears. Danang revealed that he never demanded his child to be the best. However, he prays to be a responsible parent and to provide well-being for his child.

“I do not demand this child, but I pray to make me a responsible parent and to prosper this child. This is a blessing from God, so what should we give to our child so that our child becomes something. How can we demand to be the best if we do not give the best,” he said.

Regarding the preparation of baby supplies, the wife admitted that she has not done any shopping at all. Danang added that friends actually advised them against buying items, as they want to help by providing the necessary supplies. “We haven’t shopped at all,” said Hemas.

"My friends forbade me from shopping, asked me to make a list of what I needed, they want to give it to me. Masya Allah, it's not being greedy, but we are confused and afraid of being a burden. They want to give what I don't have so it can be useful. They ask what I haven't bought yet, and I haven't bought everything yet," Danang explained.

Danang also recounted his 2.5-year journey of a long-distance relationship with Hemas between Yogyakarta and Jakarta. He admitted that he once blamed himself for urging his wife to get pregnant quickly, even though that is God's matter.

"Yesterday, I had a long-distance relationship with Nura for 2.5 years, going back and forth between Yogyakarta and Jakarta. She was stressed because she had to study, okay I can feel all of that. I once argued with my wife, saying she wasn't praying to get pregnant. She said I didn't understand when she should get pregnant," he reminisced.

Hemas added that during the pregnancy, Danang was very attentive and always prioritized his wife, especially when she felt uncomfortable.

“He feels guilty because he has been demanding. Every night I would wake up during the pregnancy, and he would wake up to ask me what was wrong. And then the doctor, whenever he had work, always prioritized me, which made me very happy,” she said.
