Kapanlagi.com - The case of alleged copyright infringement involving Lesti Kejora and Yoni Dores has come to public attention after a formal report was filed with the Metro Jaya Police. The report states that Lesti has sung several songs composed by Yoni Dores without permission since 2018.
The legal representative of Yoni Dores, Ilham Suwardi, revealed several song titles that are the subject of the copyright infringement. These songs have been uploaded by Lesti to digital platforms such as YouTube without the permission of the song's creator.
"There are several songs. Cinta Bukanlah Kapal, Bagai Ranting Yang Kering, Arjuna Buaya, Buaya Buntung, and others," said Ilham at the South Tangerang Police Station, Wednesday (21/5/2025).
Ilham added that the songs have been performed by Lesti on various occasions, both in the form of covers on YouTube and in her concerts. However, they are only focusing on the violations that occurred on digital platforms.
"We are only taking the covers. On YouTube," Ilham explained.
According to Ilham, this copyright infringement has been occurring since 2017 and continues to this day. They feel the need to take legal action to prevent similar violations in the future.
"It's been a long time. However, it still keeps happening, you know. And if we don’t take action from this incident, it will happen like this again in the coming years," Ilham stated.

Ilham also emphasized that they have tried to contact Lesti through a legal notice, but did not receive a satisfactory response. This prompted Yoni Dores to report the case to the authorities.
"We have issued a warning by sending a legal notice twice. We received a response once. They said we have the wrong legal address," Ilham said.
