Alfian's Struggle in Dangdut Academy 8, Unwavering Yet Must Come to an End

"I am grateful and touched because this year, at the age of 21 turning 22, alhamdulillah I made it to DA," he said. This statement was made by Alfian when he was met at the Indosiar Studio, Jakarta, on Monday, June 29, 2026, after a long audition struggle since 2021.

His deep love for the world of singing has been the main driving force for Alfian to continue trying his luck in various talent search events on Indosiar, even after experiencing failure multiple times. His dream since childhood has been to become a famous singer.

1. The Spirit of Never Giving Up in Various Auditions

Alfian has started his journey since 2021, consistently participating in Indosiar auditions every time registration opens. He was once recorded as a participant in the Liga Dangdut Indonesia (LIDA) and has never missed any audition opportunity available.

For Alfian, every failure is not the end of everything, but rather a valuable opportunity to continue honing his singing skills. He makes every rejection a motivation to improve himself and try again.

"I have participated in LIDA, starting from 2021 until now, I have never been absent," said Alfian. His dedication shows how great his passion is for a career in the dangdut music industry.

2. Lessons from Judges and the Roots of Love for Dangdut

During a series of audition processes, Alfian actively absorbed various feedback and valuable lessons from the judges. This experience became an important foundation for him in developing his vocal abilities and stage performance.

The judges specifically emphasized the importance of maintaining a distinctive style in singing, which is calmness and the ability to tell a story through songs. "The judges emphasized to me, you must maintain a calm singing style and how to tell a story in a song," he said.

Alfian's love for dangdut music has grown since childhood. He started delving into dangdut songs while in the 5th grade and became increasingly active in performing at various events since the 1st year of junior high school.

3. “Heavenly Flower” and the End of the Journey in DA 8

One of the songs that became the foundation of Alfian's love for dangdut is 'Bunga Surgawi'. This song not only became the first he learned but also became his favorite at the beginning of his musical journey. "The first song I learned was Bunga Surgawi, and it became my favorite when I started learning," Alfian revealed.

Although he successfully reached the Final Audition of Dangdut Academy 8, Alfian's journey had to stop at that stage. He did not manage to proceed to the next round, ending his dream this season.

Out of the seven participants in the Final Audition Group 1, six of them successfully passed. They are Delira from Garut, Ikhwan from Polewali Mandar, Khinan from Surabaya, Kiara from Musi Rawas, Niswah from Pemalang, and Razky from Pekanbaru.
