The struggle and talent of Bintang from the Bangka Belitung Islands successfully captured attention on the audition stage of Dangdut Academy 8. In audition group 2, Bintang delivered a stunning performance that earned him praise from the judges.
His heartfelt performance earned him 3 YES votes and brought home the Golden Ticket to advance to the next round. However, there was a challenging struggle for Bintang to reach this point.
Wearing a red shirt, Bintang's voice successfully stole the hearts of all three DA8 judges. He sang the song "Kecanduan Kamu" by Nassar.
It's not just about vocal quality; Bintang's life story also touches the heart. Behind his confident performance on stage, Bintang has actually been accustomed to struggling to help his family.
He is known to often sing from stage to stage to earn extra income and lighten his parents' burden. Bintang also helps manage his parents' small shop.
Bintang's struggle apparently doesn't stop there. To increase his income, he has also sought side jobs by harvesting palm oil in the plantation.
He had to collect palm oil in the plantation with his siblings to sell. When asked by Dewi Perssik what his goal was in joining the DA8 audition, Bintang revealed two things. "To develop my talent, and also to help my parents earn money again," said Bintang.
Soimah, Dewi Perssik, and Wika Salim unanimously gave YES to Bintang. The Golden Ticket that he earned marks the beginning of his journey to the next round.
Bintang was moved when the Golden Ticket was already in hand. Now, Bintang's steps in Dangdut Academy 8 are even more anticipated.
