Yusuf and Ferdi DA show an extraordinary closeness amidst their busy schedules attending special events. Their friendship has now
transcended beyond just being colleagues from the same talent search competition in dangdut.

Yusuf and Ferdi are young stars from Sulawesi who have successfully built brilliant careers in the capital city of Jakarta. Their bond has grown stronger as they often spend their free time together in the players' dormitory. Ferdi admits that he often contacts Yusuf whenever he feels bored or has no activities at home.

"We’re already like brothers, because we often hang out together. For example... whenever we look for activities at home or in the dormitory, we definitely look for things to do together," said Ferdi when met at the Mega concert D'Academy 7 World Cup Party, Emtek Studio, Daan Mogot, West Jakarta, on Monday (15/6/2026).

"And then when we’re at home, each of us, if we’re bored, we definitely call each other to ask 'where should we go? I’m really bored.' Basically, Yusuf is like a brother to me," he said.

Yusuf also considers Ferdi as his own younger brother whom he must keep an eye on for his safety at all times. He often feels anxious if his friend is on a long journey without giving any updates.

"He’s like a brother. Ucup is my younger brother. Plus, we’re both from Sulawesi. Isn’t that nice?" he said.

The man named Yusuf always asks Ferdi to send a text message as soon as he arrives in his hometown. "If Ucup has been going back to his village often lately, I tell him, 'When you get to the village, Cup, let me know so we...' something like that. So that we won’t be anxious knowing he’s about to arrive," he said.

"Don't let our conversations be known to others because... to put it bluntly, let it leak, like that. Yes, we need to keep secrets from each other. Not telling others. The point is, only the two of us should know," he said.
