Challenges Ayu Ting Ting Sing Javanese Lyrics in the Song 'Tatitut'

Kapanlagi.com - Indonesia by releasing his latest single titled Tatitut. The song, created by Yogi RPH, is very unique because it has a touch of keroncong music and a little Javanese lyrics. Ayu Ting Ting, who is of native Betawi descent, admitted to having some difficulties.

"Because I'm not Javanese, (but) Betawi. So the words have to be correct so that the meaning is not wrong. That's the challenge," said Ayu Ting Ting during a virtual press conference on Wednesday (4/11).

1. Not Willing to Make Mistakes

Therefore, during the recording, Ayu Ting Ting practiced singing the Javanese lyrics to avoid any mistakes. 

"All day (practicing). Because it's not easy. I also don't want if later I sing carelessly, it will become an opportunity for people to criticize or whatever it is. Moreover, it's a regional language, we have to make it as perfect as possible," she said.

2. Always Sing Simple Songs

Although there may be some difficulties, most of the songs performed by Ayu Ting Ting are easy enough to be sung by anyone. Because she really likes simple songs that can be remembered by everyone. 

"I want everything to be simple and easy. Fortunately, I always get songs that are not too challenging from the past until now. Because the type of songs I sing can generally be sung by everyone. Not the ones with difficult twists and turns, melancholic and with many ornaments," Ayu Ting Ting concluded.
