That's what we do. So we were quite surprised that it turned out Umi was sick for a few days, then at that time my daughter, Bella, got sick first and was diagnosed with typhoid fever by the doctor. And I thought that Umi had typhoid fever," said Fitria via a video received by the KapanLagi.com team.

1. Suspicious Family Covid-19

Knowing that her child was sick with typhoid and Elvy had a fever, Fitria immediately asked her mother to get a laboratory test. At that time, Elvy had already experienced nausea, a slight fever, and couldn't smell.

"I said, it's like Covid-19. Then Umi corrected herself, Umi had experienced this before. So initially, I thought it was typhoid. I was afraid that Umi wouldn't take care of her meals, so I asked Umi to quickly get tested," said Fitria.

Unfortunately, because it was Sunday, the laboratory where they planned to get tested was closed. Eventually, they conducted a swab test on Elvy, but there was a misunderstanding between Fitria and the doctor.

"Whether you believe it or not at that time, is it true? Then what should I do? In the end, because it was not only a swab test but we also had to check the thorax. I asked Umi to quickly take another photo of her thorax. But at that time, there was a slight misunderstanding. I heard that her lungs were fine. Finally, I took Umi home to my house. Of course, with a little suspicious news, I haven't talked to Umi about it. I tried to take care," said Fitria Sukaesih.

2. Positive Covid-19

To be cautious, Fitria rested Elvy in a separate room in her house. Then she discussed with her family and doctors who were still relatives and then saw spots on Elvy's lungs.

"When she saw that there were indeed spots on Umi's thorax x-ray, we were advised to immediately do a swab. Then we screened her lungs to see. Then we took Umi to the hospital, had a swab and screening, and got the results the next day. And it turns out that the result is positive. Of course, this was something very difficult for us at that time, considering Umi's age. And we know that Covid-19 is risky for the elderly. So yes, we were definitely panicking," explained Fitria.

3. Asked to Enter ICU

After Elvy was diagnosed with Covid-19, the family decided to treat the singer in the hospital. The attending doctor then requested Elvi to be admitted to the intensive care unit.

"The doctor said that Umi had to enter the ICU. At that time, of course, I didn't want to panic her. Including all the family members. I apologize. Because I thought that the best thing to prioritize was to think calmly about the steps we needed to take and I didn't want to add to the panic," explained Fitria.
