Cita Citata Speaks Up as Her Name is Dragged into the Corruption Case of Bansos Corona

Kapanlagi.com - Cita Citata was shocked when her name was dragged into a social assistance corruption case. Her name was involved after appearing in an event organized by the Ministry of Social Affairs in Labuan Bajo, where Cita Citata was trusted to perform.

"Huh? My name was mentioned? I don't know anything. I don't know anything," Cita Citata exclaimed when contacted by phone on Monday evening (8/3).

When asked further, Cita Citata mentioned that she was not the only one who performed at the event. Feeling incredulous about the news, the 26-year-old woman emphasized that she had no knowledge about the alleged corruption.

1. Not the Only Invited Artist

Not only that, Cita admitted that she was already aware of the corruption case in the Corona social assistance, but she did not suspect anything at all because she was only focused on entertaining during the event.

"He invited not just me, but many others. And I didn't know anything. I heard about it before when they were arrested. Luckily, at that time, it didn't involve anything else, it was just about singing. It's normal for people to be called, right? That's how it is. There's nothing suspicious," she said.

To clarify the corruption news, Cita Citata also told the story of how she was asked to perform at the event. During the event, as usual, she only performed as a dangdut singer.

"I didn't get involved in their problems. I was just called without knowing, meaning there was a problem like that. And also, the one who called me wasn't Batubara directly, but who was it, I forgot. So at that time, the one who called me and communicated with my team was not Batubara directly," she explained.

"So at that time, I just said thanks to Mr. Batubara. But what I know is that he wasn't the one who invited me. Oh, I forgot. Definitely in 2020," she concluded.

It is known that in this case, Juliari Peter Batubara and Kemensos officials Adi Wahyono and Matheus Joko Santoso were named suspects in the Corona social assistance (bansos) case, while Harry Van Sidabukke and Ardian Iskandar Maddanatja are also defendants in the corruption court. Both of them are accused of giving bribes to former Minister of Social Affairs Juliari Peter Batubara and his colleagues. Harry is also mentioned by the prosecutor as giving bribes of Rp 1.28 billion, while Ardian gave Rp 1.95 billion.
