Regarding this matter, when met in the Kebon Sirih area, Central Jakarta, on Monday afternoon, January 8th, Saipul Jamil explained. He said that at that moment, his assistant was driving the car, and after investigation, it turned out that the assistant was under the influence of psychotropic drugs.

The 43-year-old dangdut singer was confused as to why his assistant entered the busway lane. Saipul explained that it was his assistant who took the car into the busway lane.

"Yes, it was a coincidence that my assistant was driving and he was under the influence of psychotropic drugs, that's why I was confused as to why he took the busway lane," said Saipul Jamil.

"I was confused, maybe because of the traffic jam, so he thought that the busway lane was faster, and maybe he was also afraid because he hadn't been caught using it, and I didn't know he was using it either. So, he took the initiative himself," he continued.

Saipul Jamil also explained that there was a dramatic incident when he was chased by the police. He even asked for help from the military because he thought the police chasing him were criminals.

"No, it's not true. So I was the one riding on the back and holding the steering wheel, so how can we escape from those criminals and clarify the situation, I mean if we go to the police station we can clarify it directly, and coincidentally there was a soldier in front of us, so I got out of the car and shouted for help, saying please sir, these are criminals, please take them to the police station," he said.

2. Mistaken for Not Being a Police Officer

However, Saipul Jamil's assumption was wrong, the people chasing his car turned out to be real police officers.

"Well, it turns out they weren't, so we had a little mechanic competition, and in the end I lost because it was two against many, so they took me into the car," he said.

For your information, after being apprehended, the police conducted tests on Saipul Jamil and his assistant. The test results showed that Saipul Jamil tested negative while his assistant tested positive for drug use.

After spending three days at the police station, Saipul Jamil has now been released.
