Saipul Jamil's lawyer, Raja Simanjuntak, emphasizes that his client was not detained because he was only a witness in a case involving his assistant, Steven Arthur Ristiady.
"Anyone who is an Indonesian citizen, if they are still in the nature of an examination, they will not be in a place that is suitable as someone who is blamed," said Raja Simanjuntak when met at the Tambora Police Station, West Jakarta, on Sunday (7/1/2024).
"Because this is still in the nature of being a witness, he is entrusted in a certain room that is indeed appropriate," he continued.
Raja Simanjuntak ensures that Saipul Jamil, during his stay at the Tambora Police Station, is in a special room.
"No, he was never in a cell, from the beginning he was never in a cell, he was in a special room," said Raja Simanjuntak.
In addition, Saipul Jamil's condition is said to be good after the arrest incident on Friday (5/1/2024).
