Formerly a Bullying Victim, Inul Daratista Remembers Moments During the IVF Program

When met in the Daan Mogot area, West Jakarta recently, Inul admitted that even before netizens, her own family had insulted her for being infertile. Because of this, Inul reminisces about her journey to have children through the IVF program.

"Some said I was fat and infertile, I was mocked by my family for being infertile for 13 years. Bullied for being infertile, this is it," said Inul Daratista.

1. Social Media Has Not Developed

He also appreciates the fact that social media has not developed rapidly like it is today. He can't imagine what it would be like if social media existed back then, not only family members, but also netizens would surely give various comments to him.

"The bullying 13 years ago was not as cruel as it is now. Back then, there were only mass media for news, social media was not active. Infotainment was active. When I gave birth, there wouldn't have been anything as viral as Inul Daratista. Infotainment entered the hospital because of the controversy over me being a test tube baby and being successful," he continued.

2. Grateful to Undergo IVF

Therefore, Inul is very grateful that when she underwent IVF, there were no mean comments about her.

"I didn't experience any bullying when I underwent IVF. Now, there's just bullying and controversy. But back then, there were many positive aspects to the controversy," she said.

In addition, the wife of Adam Suseno also regrets the bullying behavior carried out by a few people on social media. Being a victim of bullying feels very unpleasant.

"I handle it by telling my friends who feel uncomfortable being bullied, I just say that on social media, you have to play nicely and have self-awareness," she concluded.
