Helping Dangdut Singers Amidst the Pandemic, Via Vallen & Dewi Perssik Praise 'Ini Dangdut' Show

Kapanlagi.com - Limited music stages during the Covid-19 pandemic prompted SRN Entertainment to create a music show, specifically for dangdut with a different format.

"SRN Entertainment misses entertaining the Indonesian people who are thirsty for entertainment, especially dangdut. Therefore, we try to fulfill that need by presenting 'Ini Dangdut' which invites singers from the senior and junior eras," said Sonya Laoh Mendes, the Producer of SRN Entertainment, on Wednesday (25/8/2021).

In addition to entertaining the public, the purpose of the 'Ini Dangdut' program is also to help dangdut singers who have experienced a decline in income since the pandemic.

"So that everyone can be entertained and dance at home, and also help workers in the entertainment industry who are currently in crisis," he said.

In its implementation, Ini Dangdut, which is present in the Go Play application, applies strict health protocols.

"All crew and artists are required to undergo a PCR test before entering the studio area," said Sonya.

For the premiere episode, Ini Dangdut features dangdut singers Via Vallen and Dewi Perssik with the theme of Eastern Javanese Sound. Via Vallen highly appreciates the event.

"This will be a breath of fresh air for artists and will help alleviate their daily burdens, even though it is still held in a streaming format without a live audience," said Via Vallen.

2. A Gathering of Dangdut Singers

Dewi Perssik also expressed a similar sentiment. According to Dewi Perssik, Ini Dangdut can be a gathering place for senior and junior dangdut singers.

"This is an extraordinary event. It can be a place to satisfy the longing for dangdut singers from two different eras and the songs that the public wants to hear," said Dewi Perssik.

The excitement of Ini Dangdut is not only in showcasing the golden voice of the singer, but also in exploring the life stories and journeys of the guest stars from the beginning until now, which are still unknown to many people.

In addition to Via Vallen and Dewi Perssik, Ini Dangdut, which airs every Saturday at 16.00 WIB on Go Play, plans to present equally interesting dangdut singers in the next episodes such as Rita Sugiarto, Nassar, Iis Dahlia, Rizky Ridho, Kristina, Happy Asmara, Ayu Ting Ting, and many more.
