Intentions to Help a Friend, Selfi Yamma Ends Up Being Deceived by Fake Endorsement

Kapanlagi.com - Selfi Yamma recently experienced an unpleasant incident. It turns out that a few hours ago, she endorsed an Instagram account called @ratu_gadgetseluler, which turned out to be a scam.

The fake endorsement case started when Selfi uploaded a promotion for a gadget seller's account on her Instagram Story. Many fans realized that the account was fake and had already deceived many victims.

This caused concern among Selfi's fans. They expressed their worries to the KapanLagi Dangdut admin. Following this, KapanLagi immediately contacted Selfi to address the issue.

Selfi herself admitted that she was initially hesitant to promote the account. But because she was asked for help by her friend, this 21-year-old girl finally agreed to assist her friend.

"So coincidentally, (the friend) is from the same area and I was asked to help endorse, so I still asked for permission from the management. I was initially hesitant when accepting but because it's a friend, I also didn't know (the scammer)," said Selfi Yamma when contacted by phone on Wednesday afternoon.

The singer of the song Mati Rasa admitted that she will try to take responsibility if the promotion she does ends up harming someone. However, she is still a victim of that account.

"Yes, but if they instead ask for compensation, I also don't know. It can be said that I was also deceived," she said.

2. Trying to Uncover the Owner of the Fake Account

Until now, she and her management team are doing their best to find out the owner of the fake account. It is possible that Selfi herself will report this incident to the authorities.

"Regarding that matter, I will discuss with my management team, what else can we do, it's a scam after all. Selfi has dealt with the police before, but if necessary, Selfi will help with the testimony. It depends if there are victims who object, hopefully, there aren't many victims," she concluded.
