Once Invited to Perform at Didi Kempot's Solo Concert, Denny Caknan Reveals His Biggest Regret

Kapanlagi.com - Before his passing, Didi Kempot planned to hold a solo concert at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (GBK) on November 14, 2020. However, fate had other plans, as the maestro of campur sari passed away in early May 2020, and until now, it seems that the concert has been canceled.

Regarding the plan to hold the solo concert, Didi Kempot apparently directly invited the singer of the song Loss Dol, Denny Caknan, to participate. Not only that, after Didi Kempot's passing, Denny Caknan also expressed his regret for not having the opportunity to create a work together with Didi Kempot.

"That's what made me cry. When he was going to have a concert at GBK. He already told me to join, but then he passed away. At that time, it was Didi Kempot's dream and my dream, who wouldn't want to perform at GBK. Even if I wasn't paid, I would do it," said Denny Caknan when met at the KLY office in Menteng, Central Jakarta, not long ago.

Denny Caknan confirmed that he was indeed invited directly by Didi Kempot. Sad? Definitely, because before the grand concert took place, Didi Kempot had passed away and until now Denny Caknan is not sure whether the concert will still be held or not.

"There has been contact, I am the opening act. It has been arranged, but in the end, yes (he passed away). I don't know if it will still be held or not," he said.

Furthermore, when asked if he wants to hold a solo concert for himself, this 27-year-old man certainly wants to. However, he cannot imagine when his dream will come true.

"Everyone definitely wants it, but we have to wait for the right moment, and whether we deserve it. Didi Kempot is a legend, so his concert at GBK Stadium will definitely be full, while I am just starting out, so I still have a lot to learn. I want to be known not only by Javanese people but also by all Indonesians," he concluded.
