Joining the Online Auditions for LIDA 2021, This Participant from Riau is Not Satisfied Because They Can't Meet the Judges in Person

Kapanlagi.com - Unlike previous years, the auditions for Liga Dangdut Indonesia (LIDA) 2021 are held online due to the Covid-19 pandemic. However, this doesn't diminish the enthusiasm of people from 34 provinces in Indonesia to participate in the biggest dangdut competition in this land.

Although many failed in previous years, they didn't give up on auditioning again this year. Like the participants from Riau who hope to make it to Jakarta.

"Actually, this is my second time auditioning for LIDA, previously in 2019 I made it to the Top 48. I went to Jakarta, alhamdulillah. Even if my target this year is to be in the top 10, it's okay," said Putri Wulandari during a recent virtual interview.

1. Want to be like Lesti Kejora

In addition, many participants are joining the LIDA 2021 audition because they want to succeed like Lesti Kejora. As it is known, Lesti Kejora is one of the dangdut singers from Indosiar through the Dangdut Academy contest.

"The motivation to join LIDA is to make my parents happy. I am more interested in joining LIDA compared to other contests. Because firstly, I am a fan of Lesti and I want to become a professional singer," said Khairunisa Salsabila.

2. Not Satisfied with Online Auditions

However, there are some participants who feel unsatisfied with online auditions because their singing abilities cannot be fully explored since they do not meet the judges directly.

"I have participated in LIDA auditions in previous years. But with online auditions, I feel unsatisfied because Agung's abilities are not fully explored. Last year, we met the judges directly and they listened to our voices directly, the interaction was good," said Agung Wahyudi.

3. Mastering Various Music Genres

However, these participants from Riau also caught attention because it turns out that there are those who master several music genres, not just dangdut. For example, Isman Maulana.

"When I was little, my father recognized me as a dangdut genre, he is a fan of Rhoma Irama. Then I continued my studies and took vocal major where there are classical and serious learning methods. My achievement was participating in a national level serious singing competition and became the champion in Riau province. I also have a nasyid group," Isman Maulana concluded.
