"There are many memories, but I feel lucky that in her final days I could accompany her," said Inul when met at TPU Tanah Kusir, South Jakarta, Friday (11/4/2025).

During the treatment process, Inul admitted that she often stayed by the side of the legend, both when she was hospitalized and when Titiek was at her home. She felt her presence was not just as a friend, but as a caring family member.   "From the time she was sick, went into the hospital, and before that when she was already ill, I always accompanied her not just in the hospital but also at her house," she said.

As a public figure, Inul actually keeps many memories with the late one that she never shows to the public. She does this to honor Titiek's wish not to have their activities uploaded to the media.   "Yes, it’s sad because the days with Inul are just Inul, but I never expose it to the media because my grandmother also objected," said Inul.

Their time together has mostly been spent privately, away from the camera's spotlight and media publications. Inul values those moments as something special that belongs only to the two of them.   "Basically just you and me, it’s best not to upload if the days with grandma are good at her apartment," she said.

The most memorable memories for Inul come from the many conversations that took place between her and the maestro. From trivial matters to life issues, everything was discussed warmly and intimately.   "Actually, there were a lot of discussions between us about music, daily life, from clothes to medications," said the singer of "Masa Lalu."

Titiek often gave advice to Inul, especially about struggle and consistency in the music world. She remembers well how Titiek advised her to stay strong even though her education was not high.

"So what stands out the most is 'you are like a doctor's account' how 'well, like back then, your education wasn't high, and you have to struggle, we musicians are not guaranteed,'" Inul reminisced.

In the midst of warm memories, Inul recalls Titiek's message about how to maintain existence in the entertainment world. She feels that the message is very profound because it comes from a legend who has been around in this industry for a long time.   "How do you stay relevant until you're old, hahahah like that," Inul explained.

Titiek's departure made Inul feel the loss of someone who had become like a replacement mother to her. Moreover, the senior diva also feels grateful because she can still pay attention to Inul and her family.   "I have many friends who are gone, I am grateful because I can still take care of you, kids," she said.

According to Inul, the times when Titiek was ill are some of the most touching memories of her life. She feels that every second of their time together has now become an important part that will never be forgotten.   "So there are so many memories, especially yesterday when she was sick, it was very memorable," she concluded.
