Inul Daratista Reveals the Figure Who First Popularized the Name 'Goyang Ngebor'

Kapanlagi.com - Almost all dangdut singers have their own unique dance moves, such as Inul Daratista who is known for her 'goyang ngebor' dance. It can even be said that the popularity of the singer from Pasuruan exploded thanks to her dance moves in the past.

Recently, Inul shared the origin of her phenomenal dance moves with Luna Maya. Before that, the wife of Adam Suseno emphasized that her dance moves have never been erotic or overly sexy, unlike other dangdut singers of her time.

"In the past, I used to sing in an attractive way. There were many dangdut singers with pornographic and sexy dance moves, so I combined them all. So on stage, I was lively. Because most dangdut singers are sexy, some wear mini skirts and dance to the point where their underwear is visible. This is true, especially in certain areas, and I have experienced it because my friends were like that. But I didn't do that, my dance moves were attractive but healthy. So I went here and there," Inul said as quoted by KapanLagi.com from Luna Maya's Youtube channel.

1. Never Created the Drilling Dance

Furthermore, Inul asserts that she never created the drilling dance. Her reason is that when she performs on stage, this single mother always appears very attractive with various movements.

"Well, I didn't create (the drilling dance), it's just natural. And when I first came to Jakarta, people were surprised to see me like that, even though it was already popular in East Java," she continued.

2. The Drilling Dance Popularized by Eko Patrio

The term 'drilling dance' itself apparently only went viral after Inul came to Jakarta and appeared on a television program. Moreover, the one who named this phenomenal dance was not Inul, but Eko Patrio and Tika Panggabean.

"So, the one who popularized the name was Mas Eko Patrio when I sang on RCTI. He and Tika Panggabean said, 'How can you, Nul, sing the dance like that? You look like a drilling person'. It was Mas Eko and Tika Panggabean who gave that stamp. But actually, I have many different types of dances," Inul reminisced.

3. Still Often Goyang Ngebor Until Now

Until now, Inul is still often invited to perform at various events. And every time she performs at off-air events, the 41-year-old woman still presents her distinctive ngebor dance for the satisfaction of the audience.

"When I'm off-air on an open stage like a campaign event or whatever, I still do it because that's what people have known me for. Whether I like it or not, I have to present it, although not as extreme as before," she concluded.
