Lesti Kejora Just Found Out She Was Reported to the Police from the Media

Kapanlagi.com - Lesti Kejora is involved in a report of alleged copyright infringement filed by Yoni Dores. The report was known to have been submitted to the Metro Jaya Police on May 19, 2025, targeting cover song activities that were allegedly performed without permission.

Several songs created by Yoni Dores such as Cinta Bukanlah Kapal, Bagai Ranting Yang Kering, Arjuna Buaya, and Buaya Buntung are said to have been re-sung by Lesti and uploaded to her YouTube channel since 2017.

In response to the report, Lesti Kejora's legal counsel, Sadrakh Seskoadi, provided an official statement to the media. He stated that they learned about this report not from the police, but through news coverage in the media.

"We heard about the report against Sister Lesti Kejora from news reports and/or broadcasts by the mass media," said Sadrakh Seskoadi in a release received by KapanLagi.com on Thursday (22/5/2025).

1. Respect the Legal Steps

Nevertheless, Sadrakh emphasized that his side still respects the legal steps taken by the reporter. He stated that reporting to the police is the right of every citizen.

"That we respect the decision of Mr. Yoni Dores to report Ms. Lesti Kejora to the Indonesian National Police because it is the right of every Indonesian citizen," he added.

2. Request All Parties to Uphold the Presumption of Innocence

The legal counsel also reminded that Lesti Kejora has the right to legal protection during the investigation process. He urged all parties to uphold the presumption of innocence.

"That with the 'presumption of innocence' or presumption of innocence we are still waiting for the developments of the ongoing legal process and are also still studying the basis of the report by Mr. Yonni Dores," he asserted.

The side of Lesti Kejora also requested the public not to speculate and to wait for further explanations from the ongoing legal process.
