Although she started her career in modeling, advertisements, and soap operas, the singer who is familiarly called Marisha offers a single titled Terlanjur Kaya (Accidentally Rich). Interestingly, this single combines elements of electronic dance music (EDM) and several other modern genres.
"This is an extraordinary challenge. I am working on a music project that may be considered new to some people. Because EDM has techno elements but is also infused with dangdut, pop, and many other music genres in the song Terlanjur Kaya," said Marisha, when met at Lali Bojo Coffee Shop, Pondok Bambu, East Jakarta, on Friday (31/1).
Not only that, the single released under the Nagaswara label is also referred to as techno dangdut. "Some people call this song techno dangdut. (Because) this song is rich with modern musical accents," she added.
The single Terlanjur Kaya itself is acknowledged by Marisha to be very personal because in addition to being inspired by her career journey, there are hopes and prayers that she embeds in this single. Therefore, she also revealed that she is currently working on the music video and hopes that it can be a fresh release for dangdut music enthusiasts.
"The supporting production for this single is also very extensive. For the wardrobe (music video), I entrusted it to a designer who usually handles Syahrini. Meanwhile, the concept of the storyline in this music video is also new and unique. I also incorporated the art of makeup into the production of the music video. My hope is that this single music video will bring something new, different, and attract the attention of the public," she concluded.
