Not Only Providing Assistance, Wika Salim Also Entertains Flood Victims in Shelters

Kapanlagi.com - Dangdut singer Wika Salim visited the flood victims who were affected by the recent floods in Jakarta. Not only visiting, but she also provided assistance in the form of food for the flood victims who are currently taking shelter at GOR Pengadegan, Pancoran, South Jakarta.

"I live near this area, so I had the intention to visit my friends here. I wanted to provide some assistance and support to boost their spirits," said Wika Salim when met on Tuesday (7/01) afternoon.

When she arrived at GOR at 15:09 WIB, Wika was immediately surrounded by the evacuees. She entered the GOR to greet and take photos with the evacuees, and even sang to entertain the people in the shelter.

1. Wika Salim Once Became a Flood Victim

In addition, Wika emphasized that the assistance she provided was the result of her own hard work. This assistance is a form of her concern because she herself has experienced being a flood victim.

"This is my own result, not much, hopefully it's sincerely for everyone. It was obstructive, especially when I returned from work from out of town, the roads to the airport were flooded. It was quite stuck in Grogol, trapped in the flood for 13 hours. That's why I feel sorry for friends who are affected by the flood, we who are just trapped in the flood are already very troubled, let alone those who are affected by the disaster," she said.

2. Wika Salim's Hope for Flood Victims

Indeed, the floods that hit Jakarta in early 2020 were extraordinary in their impact. Therefore, Wika hopes that the victims can resume their activities as usual.

"Hopefully this flood will end soon, everything will return to normal. Friends who are affected by the disaster will also recover and be able to carry out their activities well again," said Wika.
