Inul Daratista admitted that at that time she got married simply with Adam Suseno with a capital of 500 thousand rupiahs she earned from her singing fee. The money was used to pay the cleric and rent the wedding dress.
Because it was so simple, Inul said that there was no grand reception attended by hundreds of invited guests, no cake, and no gifts for the guests.
Inul & Adam Suseno had their wedding ceremony in the living room of their house. They truly started their life from scratch after that simple wedding.
After getting married, this woman from Pasuruan continued to sing from one stage to another. Luckily for Inul, Adam Suseno was willing to accompany her during her performances.
Inul performs in various places such as nightclubs, wedding parties, circumcision ceremonies, and even performances in red-light districts. They have experienced sleeping on the sidewalk and seeking shelter under trucks.
In one day, Inul even sang at seven different venues. Adam Suseno fell ill from having to accompany his wife with a packed schedule.
Nevertheless, they take turns taking care of each other when one of them falls ill. When tired from touring, they are not hesitant to give each other massages.
Now, Inul & Adam Suseno have reaped the fruits of their past struggles. They live comfortably and have several businesses for their retirement.
