Dangdut singer Dewi Perssik also celebrates Eid al-Adha 1446 Hijri by sacrificing 17 cows. The sacrificial animals are distributed to several areas such as Jakarta, Jember, and Banyumas.

"Alhamdulillah in Jakarta 2, in Jember 5, and for Ranjingan there are 10," said Dewi Perssik at her residence in the Lebak Bulus area, South Jakarta, on Friday (6/6/2025).

Dewi is grateful to still have the opportunity to continue doing good through the blessings she receives from her hard work. She mentioned that the number of sacrificial animals she slaughtered this year is the highest compared to previous years.

"This year can be said to be the most compared to previous years for sacrifices? Alhamdulillah, I mean, it’s getting better, if not the same, but it never decreases. If it’s not the same, then it increases, so just be grateful, right?" she said.

The woman commonly known as Depe admits that the blessings she receives heavily depend on the job opportunities that come her way. Therefore, when she is in a busy period, she feels it is the right time to share more.

"You know how it is, sometimes people have many jobs, and sometimes it's quiet. So when there are many jobs, it means it's time for me to give more. But when there are few jobs, I just do what I can. So right now, alhamdulillah, since I have extra blessings, we are sharing together," said Depe.

Dewi also explained that two of the 17 sacrificial cows are at her residence in Jakarta. These two cows are quite large and were prepared specifically in the name of her closest family. "1.2 tons for this one, both of them," she explained regarding the weight of the cows being slaughtered in Jakarta.

When asked who she intended to include in the sacrifice, Dewi mentioned several names from her family, both those who have passed away and those who are still alive. She also included a prayer for those who could not be sacrificed this year.

"For my dad, the late dad, the late grandmother, then grandfather, and those who are still alive include my grandmother, then my great-grandmother, then there’s mom, there’s Gabriel, me, and if there’s one more cow, it’s up to me, in the afterlife there are those who haven’t had their cow go up, so let them go up with their cow like that. But I don’t know their names, right?" she said.

"I interpret it, essentially I am more grateful to Allah, meaning that God gives abundantly to us. So with me being able to share like this, the intention is solely for my provisions later on. Because I am a place of sin, I have many sins," she said.

"At least by doing charity like this, sharing with the people I love, I can reduce my sins, that's how I interpret it. This is like our animalistic desires, so we can return to our nature and become better humans," he concluded.
