After Suffering Severe Burnout, Nirina Zubir Admits She Didn't Want to Leave the House and Didn't Shower for Almost a Week

Actress Nirina Zubir revealed a rather shocking personal experience related to her mental health condition. Known as a cheerful and energetic person, Nirina actually went through a phase of severe burnout where she completely lost the motivation to be active.

She shared this experience when she was met in the Menteng area, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday (4/6/2025). Nirina mentioned that the burnout emerged after she completed four film projects without a break. Here are the details.

"I had four road projects without a break yesterday, that's why after finishing those four projects, I disappeared for a moment to strengthen my mental state again. Life is not just about work, but there are indeed cases that need to be resolved," she revealed.

The burnout experienced by Nirina is quite severe. She admitted that she didn't want to meet people, was not interested in activities, and was even too lazy to shower for almost a week.

"For the past two months, I really didn't want to do anything, not even exercise at all. Even during that time, I almost didn't want to shower for more than a week, yes it turns out that burnout can affect anyone, even Nirina, and after such a long time, I have never felt this way," she said.

Nirina admitted to rejecting all forms of interaction, even just going to a psychologist was something she couldn't manage because her body and mind completely refused to leave the house.

"But even going to a psychologist at that time, I didn't want to, I really didn't want to leave the house, I didn't want any interaction, even Zoom or online anything, I just wanted to stay at home," she said.

In the midst of that downturn, Nirina actually found a moment to get closer to her family and engage in simple activities like cooking. This helped her gradually begin to recover.

"I made mayonnaise at home, made chocolate spread myself, I made everything myself, so it turns out that at that moment... I was also thinking like 'oh why is this happening, how long will this last'," said Nirina.

After two full months of struggle, Nirina began to rise by forcing her body to exercise and socialize again. "Finally, from that, thank God, my body can be talked to, 'let's go, it's a new month now', yesterday was already May, and my body can be invited to move again, if Nirina is inviting it to exercise," she continued.

This recovery process also made Nirina better understand the importance of accepting one's condition and giving time to heal. She hopes her experience can be a lesson for others who are experiencing similar situations. "Maybe for friends who feel overwhelmed, burned out, or whatever it is, maybe there are moments when we let that out first, feel it first, but I pray that you all can rise again," she said with full empathy.

Now, Nirina is back to creating and feels more refreshed. She is also preparing for the release of her latest film, which is part of her new spirit after rising from that difficult period.
